Olive Provencher Obituary

Olive (Richmond) Provencher, 99, of Victory Highway, Greene, RI, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Kent Hospital in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Geoffray J. Provencher.
Born at home in West Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late George and Ida (Brown) Richmond.
Olive was the Salutatorian of her graduation class of 1943 from Coventry High School. Olive worked for the State of Rhode Island for over 30 years as a payroll clerk. Olive loved spending time with her family and adored her pets and watching the hummingbirds every spring and summer. In her spare time, she loved doing her crossword puzzles and she was a member of the "Daughters of the American Revolution".
She is survived by three daughters, Diana Mae Lightbody and her companion Galen Bradford of Pawcatuck, CT, Marsha Faye Albro and her husband William of Greene, RI and Tina Nadine Provencher-Lomas and her husband David of Warwick; a sister, Donna Gail Richmond of Idaho; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Corlis A. Gough and sister of the late Francis, Arthur, Judd and Virginia Richmond, Hope Rathbun and Priscilla Arnold.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI, with a Funeral Service for both Olive and her daughter Corlis at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Capwell Cemetery, West Greenwich, RI.
