While surrounded by those she loved and those that loved her; Miss Genevieve "Nicole" Scott, age 50, of Soperton passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, March 23, 2025 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.
Born in Dublin, she was the second of three children born to the late Linda McDaniel Clark.
Affectionately referred to as "Nic Nic", she had the gift of loving deep, loving true and loving unconditionally. She was sharp minded, straight forward, quick witted and always had an open door for any family needing a place to recuperate or be nursed back to a sense of normal. Nicole possessed an innate ability to recall family dates, names, relationships and events that took place generations before her time. When anyone questioned any historical fact about the family, they called Nicole.
Nicole had been a member at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in the Lothair Community.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by grandparents, Lonnie and Geneva McDaniel and a bonus niece, Rebecka "Becka" Goodwin.
Nicole leaves behind, her two brothers, Shane Scott (Ladonna),
Soperton, GA, Eric Outler (Sharon), Vidalia, nieces and nephews, Shane Scott Jr., Timothy Scott, Elijah Scott, Eric Outler Jr., Emily Outler, Dawson Outler, Maria Quintero Snead, Kiersten Griner, four great nephews, two great nieces, "her protectors, sometimes targets and partners in crime" like sister's; Tara Griner and Lee Freeman, as well as enough cousins and other loving family to fill Noah's Ark.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 27, 2025 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Albert White officiating.
Nicole will be laid to rest beside her mother in Red Bluff Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Michelle Meeks, Dylan Manring, Shane Scott Jr., Michael Taylor, Hayden Quintero and Rodney Byrd.
Honorary escorts will be: Mitchell Meeks and Eric Outler Jr.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
