Myrna Lee (McBride) Mahoney, 86, of South Bend,IN passed away on Saturday March 15, 2025, at Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg,IN.
Myrna was born on October 30,1938 in Sullivan, IN to the late John and Freda (Alumbaugh) McBride.
After graduating from Riley High School, Myrna obtained her Registered Nursing license from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for over 40 years as a Registered Nurse before retiring.
After retirement, Myrna enjoyed reading, planting flowers, and vacationing with her brother and sister and their spouses.
Myrna is survived by her daughters, Lynn Mahoney and Beth (Tymm) Nelson, her grandchildren Sarah Beck, Alison (Zach) Muncy, Samantha (Jon) McGinnis, and Seth Nelson as well as 11 great-grandchildren,her brother Gary (Linda) McBride, and nieces and nephews.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Linda Myers, her grandson Ryan Witte, and her niece Julie Kleve.
Memorial visitation for Myrna will be held from 12pm-2pm on Friday April 11, 2025, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. A memorial service will begin at 2pm at the funeral home and interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to support breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Foundation or to support Alzheimer's research.

Myrna was a wonderful friend I have many memories of our time working at Charter Hospital. I admired her knowledge working with adolescents and their mental health. I will miss her and offer my condolences to her two daughters , grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of her family that I don´t know.
