Dickerson Mortuary announces the passing of Mr. Michael Washington, 53, who transitioned on Tuesday, January 21,2025. The family of Mr. Michael Washington invites you to attend his celebration of life services on Monday, January 27, 2025 @ 11:00 am at Wesley United Methodist Church 3242 Ladson Rd., Ladson SC. Interment: Brownsville Cemetery
Michael Carlos Washington, the son of the late Edward Lee Felder and Sarah Washington Felder Bozier, was born on December 13, 1971 in Summerville, SC. He peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his home. He attended Dorchester District Two schools where he played and lettered in football at Summerville High School. Michael accepted the Lord at an early age when he was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Summerville. He later joined Wesley United Methodist Church in Ladson under the leadership of Reverend Keith Hunter. Michael was a kind-hearted person who would do anything for anybody. He had a passion for helping the elderly and those in need, particularly providing plumbing and electrical repairs. Michael was exceptionally skilled at brick masonry. He prided himself on building and repairing walls, fireplaces, and other structures He was employed by Dickerson Masonry and Moree Masonry. He later was employed by John Shamblee of JT Unlimited, Inc. where he traveled around the United States replacing stadium seats. Michael leaves to cherish his memory his faithful and dedicated mother Ms. Sarah Washington Bozier; his children: Bryan, Deeona, MaShaya, DMorio, Shermeyer, SherMez, and Jaleah; his siblings: John, Kenneth, Amy, Nekeesha, Josette, Greg, and Shedrick; his aunts: Mary Lee Grant, Azalee Pryor, Christine Elmore, Dorine Chapman, Octavia Brown, Linda Lindsey and Claricia Felder; one uncle: Vergil Felder; and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thank you to his caregiver Tamar Kenley, MUSC Heart Transplant Team, Bayada Home Health and Agape Care for their continuous support throughout this journey.
Viewing for Mr. Washington will held on Monday, January 27, 2025 @ 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Wesley UM Church.
