Marjorie S. Goodrich, age 91, of New Castle, passed away the late afternoon of Nov. 24, 2024, at Clen-Moore Place.
Born Nov. 14, 1933, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ida (McCready) Senn.
She was married to her beloved husband, James W. Goodrich, Jr., who preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2021.
Marjorie was a graduate of Mt. Jackson High School where she was crowned the Homecoming Queen. She enjoyed traveling, visiting her neighbors and her family, especially her grandchildren. Marjorie was a longtime member of First Assembly of God.
Survivors include her son, James W. (Luanne) Goodrich, III, of New Castle; two grandchildren, Dr. Louis Goodrich, and Lisa (Dr. Thomas G.) Peters; and three great-grandchildren, James Houston Peters, Madison Victoria Peters, and Henry Remington Peters.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Ann Goodrich.
Visitation will be held on Sat. Nov. 30th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation, at the funeral home, at noon, with Pastor Scott Frederick of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be alongside her husband at Reformed Presbyterian Church of New Galilee Cemetery.
