She was a parishioner at St Jude Catholic Church and enjoyed taking bus trips with family and friends from the parish to the casinos in different cities.
As a Notre Dame men's basketball season ticket holder she and Jerry attended many games and sometimes worked the concessions as volunteers to raise money for their parish.
She adopted several cats and dogs throughout her life. Marilyn loved reading crime novels, playing euchre with her neighbors, summer vacations at cottages with family, listening to books on tape during drives through the country with her husband, and spending time with her grandchildren.
