Maria Assunta DeRosa, 95, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ sadly passed away on Thursday January 29, 2026. Born in Naples Italy, Maria and her late husband, Mario, immigrated to the United States in 1967 where they lived in Rahway, NJ with their family. She is survived by her sons Francesco DeRosa (Doris) of Little Egg Harbor, Joseph DeRosa (Joseph Snow) of Northfield, NJ, Antonio DeRosa (Shelly) of Kennett Square, PA, and Sergio DeRosa (predeceased by his wife Lynn). Also surviving are her grandchildren Sandra, Stefan, Jessica (Croix), Gabrielle (Josh), Marissa, Melanie and Christopher, and 7 great grandchildren.
She later settled in Little Egg Harbor in 1981 where she enjoyed cooking, sitting outside in the sun, and bird watching. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved to spend time with her sons and grandchildren. Maria was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Rahway, NJ.
Maria was predeceased by beloved husband Mario DeRosa and her siblings.
Visitation for family members will be held on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026 from 9-10am followed by Burial at 12p.m. at St. Gertrudes Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
