Mae Millet Obituary

Mae Jean Young Millet passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at her home in Prairieville surrounded by her family at the age of 80. She was born in Breaux Bridge and a native of Bayou Sorrel. Mae was a homemaker. Visitation will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, 24120 Railroad Avenue, Plaquemine on Friday, August 22nd, from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, August 23rd, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Pastor Tyler Scott. Burial will follow in Grace Memorial Park. Mae is survived by her husband of 64 years, Columbus "Poochie" Paul Millet, Jr.; four children, Marc Anthony Millet, Pearl Ruth Millet Robbs and husband Brian, Columbus Paul Millet, III and wife Liz, Laurie Lynn Millet; son-in-law, Larry Davis; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold Young and wife Gaye, Yvette Young Mendoza, Gloria Young Bonin. Mae was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Maria Millet Davis; parents, William and Mable Hebert Young; siblings, Mary Jane Curry, Bill Young, Curtis Young, Leroy Young; great-grandchild, Atreyu Culpepper.
