Louanna Bloom, 72, of Bellefonte, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on February 12, 1952, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Dale A. and Grace A. (Lee) Bloom.
Louanna was a 1970 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She worked in the Ag Department at Penn State University for 35 years until her retirement.
She is survived by her nephews and niece, Michael Long, Austin Long, and Jennifer Hoffman, and great nephew and great nieces, Hunter Hoffman, Harlee Hoffman, Linda Long, and Rebekah Long.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Linda Long.
Louanna was a member of Milesburg God's Missionary Church. She loved interacting with other people, whether it was while she was playing in an adult softball league during her younger years or playing BINGO and Uno with her family more recently. She enjoyed watching the Phillies baseball and Penn State football games and tried not to miss an episode of General Hospital. She loved Elvis and playing card games as well. More than anything, she cherished the time spent with her family.
