Larry Snyder Obituary

Larry Lynn Snyder was called home on Saturday, March 8th, 2025. Larry is proceeded in death by his father; Otis Snyder, mother; Velma (Cottrell) Snyder, brother; Richard Snyder (Diana), half-sister; Rosemond (Snyder) Kanouse (Cecil), and son; Daniel Snyder. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Diana (Gillam) Snyder, son; Christopher Snyder, sister; Helen Snyder, Cat Bob.
Larry's second love, only behind his family was automobiles and he was able to turn his passion for wheels into a career as a truck driver retiring from Fastec in Elkhart. He was also a member of the Studebaker Driver's Club, Tin Can Tourists RV Club, Family Motor Coach, Hoosier Cruiser Chapter, and served many years as Wagon Master of Fun Lovin Sam's local chapter of Good Sam RV Club.
Larry had strong ties to the community as a Scoutmaster for Troop 512. He also was a member of the River Park Neighborhood Association, Oak Creek Community Church, and frequently attended Battel Center senior exercise and lunch. He donated time to the RV Hall Of Fame Museum in Elkhart. He loved people and had the gift of gab and would spend hours sitting with people telling stories and laughing. He loved music and to dance, and most weekends could be found at a local VFW, American Legion, or social club with live music tearing up the dance floor. As a longtime family friend said " he is at peace with Daniel; they are no doubt [in heaven] riding in an RV and telling their stories to everyone they meet- with pure happiness."
Diana would like to invite family and friends on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10:00-11:00am to the visitation and memorial service to follow at Oak Creek Community Church 833 Lincolnway E, Mishawaka, IN 46544. Pastor Mike Jamison, from Oak Creek Community Church in Mishawaka will officiate the services. Donations may be made to the church.
