Larry Sanderson Obituary

Larry R. Sanderson II, 45, of Rochester, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Northwest Health, LaPorte Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 18, 1979, in East Chicago to Larry and Phyllis (Mechei) Sanderson.
Larry lived his entire life in the area and was a beloved member of the community. He attended the Gospel Lighthouse Church in DeLong, where he found comfort and connection. A man of simple pleasures, Larry cherished his time outdoors, particularly enjoying hunting and fishing. Yet, his greatest joy came from being a devoted father to his daughter, Paris, and spending quality time with his mother, Phyllis.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Paris; his mother, Phyllis; two brothers, Michael Sanderson and Gregory Sanderson; one sister, Jennifer Sanderson; and a stepbrother, Jessie Hardin. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Theresa Sanderson.
A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM CST on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM CST at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Monterey. ALL TIMES ARE LISTED ON CENTRAL TIME.
Larry will be remembered for his loving nature, his quiet strength, and his deep love for family. He may have lived simply, but he touched many lives with his kindness and devotion. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
