LaCinda Lumpkin Obituary

LaCinda L. Lumpkin,65 passed away on January 27, 2026, in Topeka, Kansas. She was born in Topeka, Kansas to Eunice Wilson and Leslie L. Rogers. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Devinnaire Rogers and sisters Alberta Yancey and Patricia Shear.

Lacinda accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and sang in the choir.

Education was important to her; after getting her GED she took clerical classes at Kaw Valley Technical College and Allen

Community College. She was an Office Assistant in Childcare Licensing for the state of Kansas and later for Blue Cross Blue Shield. She worked and later retired as a Transportation Specialist with Berlin- Wheeler due to a medical condition.

She was the mother of four children; Simone Rogers Lester, Isaiah Lumpkin, Devin Rogers and Devinnaire Rogers who passed at 6 months.

Lacinda loved life, singing, dancing, listening to R&B music, watching classic movies and TV shows- her favorite being "Svengoolie" on Saturday nights.

She leaves to celebrate her Life, her daughter, Simone Lester; sons, Devin Rogers and Isaiah Lumpkin; granddaughter Ka'Stale Kuhn; three great grandchildren, Da'Torrion Wright Jr, Aniyah Wright, and Analeia Wright; four brothers, Leslie Rogers, George McFarland, Leonard Rogers, and Stanley Rogers; two sisters. Loletta McFarland and Zelma Johnson. She also leaves behind her life partner of 43 years, Johnny Mosely and despite their trials and tribulation they loved and cared for each other very much.

LaCinda was loved by many who met her, she had an honest way about her and although she was more intelligent than most, she let you believe whatever you wanted. At 4 feet,6 inches she was a powerhouse that didn't start problems but once pushed she wouldn't back down. She was a true angel and if you had met her in this life, you would feel that angel glow. She will surely be missed by all.
