Kathy Edwards died at her residence in Windsor, CA on January 28 at the age of 99. With her when she passed were her children Debbie Oliver (Peter) and Bill Edwards (Tina.)
Kathy was born June 17, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska, the only child of Berton and Teresa Johnson.
Soon after graduating high school, she relocated to the west coast. She met the love of her life, Dick Edwards, in 1946 and they were married May 3, 1947. They celebrated 67 years of marriage before Dick passed in 2014.
Kathy is grandma to Megan Byrd, Caitlin Byrd (deceased), Emily Edwards, Ben Edwards (Katya), Paige Edwards, Briana Herrod (Chris), Emily Twitchell (Dave), and Reyna Lubach (Joe).
She is "GG" to Arlo and Henry Herrod, Kennedy and Oliver Twitchell, and Logan and Calia Lubach.
Kathy and Dick began their married life in Richmond, California, raised their children in Concord, and settled in Santa Rosa in 1969. They loved to travel and especially loved spending time in Hawail.
Kathy enjoyed being an active member of the Assistance League for over 30 years. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations may be made to the Assistance League of Sonoma County.
Kathy will be interred near her granddaughter Caitlin at Olive Hills Cemetery in Geyserville. A memorial service is planned for Saturday February 8 at 1:00 pm at Fairview Valley of the Moon 7035 Oakmont Drive, Santa Rosa.
