Jose Armando Campos, a cherished family man and respected member of the Mishawaka community, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Born into the vibrant culture of El Salvador, Jose brought the warmth of his heritage to the heart of the Midwest, where he built a life marked by dedication and love.
Jose was the beloved husband of Martha Campos, with whom he shared a life full of joy and companionship. He was a devoted father to his children, Mirna Lovos, Jose Raul Campos, Martha Campos Rivas-Lovos, Ana Johnson, Maria Mercado, Armando Campos, Manuel Campos, and Noe Campos. His legacy continues through his eleven grandchildren, who will remember their grandfather for his boundless affection and the wisdom he imparted.
Before his retirement, Jose was a hardworking laborer in the construction industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to lead by example. His colleagues respected him for his reliability and his commitment to excellence in every project he undertook.
Jose's passion for life extended beyond his work. He found solace and joy in listening to music, a hobby that he often shared with his family and friends. His love for melody and rhythm was infectious, and many will recall the sound of his favorite tunes filling the room during family gatherings.
He was preceded in death by his father, Miguel Hernandez, and his mother, Alisia Delcarmen Campos. Jose's memory will be honored by all who knew him as a man of integrity and kindness.
Jose's life was a testament to the enduring strength of family bonds and the simple pleasures that bring us together. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Private Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 at Palmer Funeral Homes - River Park Chapel. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
