Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shaffer Funeral Home - Robert Lee on Apr. 8, 2025.
Jeffery Neal Eubanks, known to all as Jeff, passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 68 in
San Angelo, Texas. Born on April 28, 1956, in
Robert Lee, Texas, to the late Ivey Oscar Eubanks and Lavelta Taylor Eubanks, where he lived his entire life. Jeff was a man whose profound presence was felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jeff was a proud graduate of the Robert Lee High School class of 1974. He understood the values of hard work and commitment. He dedicated over four decades to the oil fields of Silver, Texas, where he was not just a respected colleague but also a true friend to many. His work ethics were only matched by his unwavering loyalty to his coworkers and friends.
Jeff was a family man at heart, and nothing brought him more happiness than being surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, D'Ann Eubanks, who was his partner in all things and his rock throughout their life together. His memory will be cherished by his daughter Lori Eubanks, his son Colby Eubanks and daughter-in-law Stacy, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his life.
The legacy of Jeff's kind spirit and love for life lives on through his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Zachary, Gabriel, Casey, and Shailey. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he reveled in their accomplishments. PawPaw supported them in every endeavor and followed them to every sports event and activity no matter the distance.
Jeff also leaves behind a large extended family including an aunt, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. The phone calls and visits from family and friends during his illness lifted his spirits and were really special to him.
Jeff's life was one of active engagement and passion. He was happiest when he was outdoors, whether it was hunting, getting ready for the annual deer-camp weekend or simply spending time on the ranch. He was a man of many skills, including artistry, carpentry and welding to mention just a few.
A man of many interests, Jeff's love for the outdoors was paralleled by his love for his community. He served on the city council, was a member of the Farm Bureau board and he spent many summers coaching softball and baseball. He was a familiar face at local events, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His passing leaves a void in the community that will be felt deeply by those who knew him.
Jeff's life was not without its trials; he faced the loss of his parents and his son, Casey, with inspiring strength. Yet, even in the face of such sorrow, he never lost his capacity for hope and his commitment to his family.
As we say goodbye to Jeff, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will be cherished in the hearts of those he touched. Jeff's journey on this earth has ended, but the stories of his kindness, his laughter, and his love will remain in our hearts forever.
