James "Jimmy" Armon Dahl, 71, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, January 27th, 2025. He was born June 23rd, 1953, in Indianapolis to his parents Eugene Armon and Julia Mae (Bray) Dahl. He married Patricia Ann "Patti" (Conley) Dahl on June 17th, 2010.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Patti Dahl; children: Joshua "Josh" Armon Dahl (wife Jennifer), Rachael Rene' Smith (husband Tyler), Leah Marie Dahl, Kristina Dahl, Jen Conley and Kelleigh Cranfill; grandchildren: Presley Anne Dahl, Porter Armon Dahl, Pierce Archer Dahl, Henry Smith, Cecil Smith, Lainey Mae Pitts, and Laila Fiyori Dahl; siblings: Ronnie Dahl, Bob Dahl (wife Kathleen), and Tonia Richman (husband Steve); nieces and nephews: Tiffany Richman, Julia Richman, Ellice Richman, Hannah Richman, Michael Dahl, Shelly Prather Cruz, and Chris Dahl.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother, Julia Dahl; brother, Gary Dahl and niece, Carrie Dahl.
Jimmy was a 1971 graduate of Decatur Central High School; he was exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable in his profession as an HVAC technician. He possessed remarkable talent in building and constructing, showcasing his outstanding craftsmanship in every project he undertook. He was a musically gifted guitar player and singer, talents he generously shared with those around him. He would encourage everyone to "make a joyful noise" and join in.
People were naturally drawn to Jimmy for his charisma and warm personality, often feeling comfortable and at ease in his presence. He had an extraordinary ability to empathize with others, demonstrating remarkable resilience and compassion, and always ready to assist anyone in need. His sense of humor brought lightness and joy to those around him, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.
The family is planning a private Celebration of Life for Jimmy.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
