Jack Michael Craven, Sr., 68, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Sunday, February 16th, 2025.
A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 20th, 2025, at sister Cindy's house, 817 Elsey Drive, Charleston, SC 29407. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at 1:00pm at Bedon Baptist Church, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro, SC 29488.
Mike was born on February 26th, 1956, in Charleston, SC, a son of the late James Craven and Mary Snelson Craven. He served in the US Army before starting his career as a truck driver. He was well respected for his work in the trucking industry and later went to work overseas as a project manager. He also enjoyed playing on his Church softball and volleyball team. Mike was the life of the party and hardly ever met a stranger. Mike loved music and was a great guitar player as well. Mike also enjoyed watching football with his grandchildren. He was a much beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving children: Mary Beth Powell (Eric), Jack Michael Craven, Jr. (Patty Smith), Ashley Dodd (Billy), Amanda Craven, Cayce Collins (Jamie) and Jane Craven; his siblings: Cynthia "Cindy" Goude (Lamar) and James "Bobo" Craven (Vicki); as well as numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a loving son, Christopher Michael Craven; a granddaughter, Zoey Craven; as well as his siblings: Ann Able and Richard Craven.
