Ibn Kenyor Phillips of Newark, New Jersey passed away suddenly on February 16, 2025. Ibn was born on January 21, 1987 to the late Shareese Phillips & the late Darryl Wolfe. Ibn received his education through the Newark public school system. He obtained his high school diploma as well as a certification in welding through Job Corps Inc. with the state of Florida. Ibn was employed through The City of Newark with The Division of Public Buildings.
Ibn loved horror movies so much that he collected the costumes and dolls of those horror movies. He was also known as "The Roast Master". Ibn loved his son KJ dearly & cherished spending time with KJ and his fiancé Elaine Lott.
Ibn is survived by his son "KJ" Kenyor Jah'Kyi Al-Qahhar Reese Lott-Phillips, maternal brothers; Rashaad Phillips, David "Dave" Rogers and Elijuan "Laj" Reynolds, his sister; Shantel Phillips, aunts; LaNiece Phillips, Rashateya Phillips, Jamillah Phillips, Sade Phillips, fiancée & stepdaughters; Elaine Lott, Ah'Zeyyla Lott, Ah'Zohne Lott, Ah'Zari Lott and Ah'Ziiyah Lott, a close cousin; Dimitri Frost, a paternal brother; Darryl Jr. "Tate" Wolfe, aunts; Patricia Paige, Theresa Wolfe and Loretta Wolfe, and a host of cousins, relatives and special friends.
Ibn will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was known for his sense of humor and extraordinary laughter. His humorous, lighthearted observations and jokes made everyone laugh and feel better about life.
