Helen Confer Obituary

Helen "Honey" N. Confer, 79, of Bellefonte, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on October 20, 1945, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Lyons) Morrison.
Honey was a graduate of Bellefonte High School.
She is survived by her companion of over 30 years, Michael Bucior, a son, Timothy Confer (Lawana) of Bellefonte, three grandchildren, Kasondra Confer, Cheyenne Confer, Mikayla Auman, and five great grandchildren, Madeline Bortner, Olivia Leitel, Evelyn Snedden, Layla Auman, and Ava Auman. Also surviving is a stepdaughter, Tammy Watkins, and a sister, Jean Walizer of Bellefonte.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by seven siblings, Bud Cowher, Lucy Peters, George Cowher, William Cowher, Catherine Watkins, June Confer, and Donna Schlegal.
Although she was legally blind, she was an exceptional seamstress. Over the years she created and mended countless pieces of clothing for her family and friends. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her the most joy in life.
Funeral and burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
