Glenn Willis Obituary

Glenn Harry Willis Jr. 84 passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage Alaska.
Glenn was born February 24, 1940, to the late Glenn and Martha Conklin Willis, in Marathon, New York.
He married Margaret Jennings on July 4, 1963, in Marathon New York.
He is survived by 2 children, Timothy P. Willis, of Anchorage Alaska, Rebekah L. Willis of Ellsworth Maine, 8 Grandsons, and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Betty, a brother Gary, and 2 children John M. Willis and Deborah R. McFarlane and a grandson Brennan M. Potter.
Glenn attended Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri and was an ordained Minister. He was called to Alaska to serve in missions. He served at Baptista Agaayuwik, then at Lazy Mountain Children's Home in Palmer Alaska until it closed. Then he joined the Central Alaskan Mission which later became SEND of Alaska. He served as Director of Development at Alaska Bible College for 10 years. He served multiple churches as an interim pastor in various denominations from N.Y, Maine, Georgia. Glenn had a way of sharing the gospel message in a forthright manner, sometimes with a bit of humor. It was both Glenn and Margaret's deep relationship to Christ and their very accepting personalities that endeared them at that time to those congregations that were seeking God's chosen new pastors for their church.
Glenn, a multi-talented servant of God will be missed by earthly man but has been warmly welcomed HOME by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Well done, good and faithful servant.
Funeral services will be at Chapel by the Sea Friday, January 10, 2025.
Viewing at 1:00 PM, Service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Jerid Krulish, officiating.
Private Burial will be at the Glennallen Alaska Cemetery in the spring.
