Gary Lee Finkbeiner, age 68, of Ludington, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, in his home.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Gary lived a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, a man whose kindness, strength, and selflessness touched everyone who knew him.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Finkbeiner; his children, Amanda (Jeremy) Cochran, Jennifer Koenigskecht, and Christina Scheidel; and his cherished grandchildren, Faith Ike, Sabrina Ike, Paige Ike, Garron Cochran, Harper Koenigskecht, Sebastian Cochran, Christian Cochran, and Rylee Rose. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard (Colleen) Finkbeiner and James (Joey) Finkbeiner, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply, including his "adopted son", James.

Gary's passions reflected his genuine spirit and love for life. He found joy in woodworking, camping, golfing, and fishing, and he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams - the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. Whether he was crafting something in his workshop or sharing stories by the campfire, Gary lived life wholeheartedly and always did things "Gary's way."

Gary will be remembered as a man who put others before himself, whose laughter filled the room, and whose love for his family was unwavering.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Gary's memory.
