Estelita Baluyot Obituary

Estelita Ongkingco Baluyot, of Summit, NJ, passed away on March 6, 2025, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ, at the age of 79. She was born on November 19, 1945, in Wawa, Abucay, Bataan, Philippines, to Felicidad Ongkingco and Jose Baluyot.
Estelita was a woman of many talents and a strong spirit. She earned her degree in Education and began her career as a Math Teacher in the Philippines, where she nurtured young minds. After moving to the United States, she transitioned to a career in insurance, working as an Insurance Agent at MetLife in New York. She later served as a Client Service Advisor at Harry Winston, before working as a Medical Billing Associate for Dr. Anthony Calanog in New York, until her retirement.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Estelita found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid player of Mahjong and enjoyed card games with her dear friends, many of whom she made during her time in New York. She was also a fan of watching the Food Network, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price is Right, often sharing moments of laughter with those around her. Above all Estelita was devoted to her cherished family and her faith.
Estelita is survived by her loving children, Arnel Danque and his wife Ma Gracita Danque, Arlene Garalde and her husband Harrison Garalde and Ammie Carino and her husband Robert Carino. She was the dear sister of Teresita Navarro, Nelia Manlapaz and Lydia Mellor and the cherished grandmother of: Johan Samuel Danque, Rianna Lois Danque, Adrienne Harris Garalde and his wife Sarah, Krisylvia Anne Garalde, Kai Michael Carino, Trebor Lawrence Carino, Treyson Anthony Carino and Camille Rose Carino. She was also survived by her adored great-granddaughter, Ciara Rose Garalde. Estelita was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Jaime Baluyot.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation on Thursday, March 13th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave, Summit, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, March 14th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Church, 111 South St. New Providence, NJ.
