Elvira R. Caballero, passed away on March 11, 2025, in Elkhart, Indiana, at the age of 77. Born on August 6, 1947, in Indiana, Elvira was the beloved daughter of the late Jose and Romana Rodriguez. Her warm presence and nurturing spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Elvira dedicated many years to her craft as a florist, where she brought joy and beauty to countless lives through her floral arrangements. Her talent for creating stunning Christmas wreaths where she took great pleasure in teaching others. Elvira's cooking skills were equally admired, as she worked as a cook, sharing her love through the delicious meals she prepared.
Her role as a mother was Elvira's greatest joy. She is survived by her devoted sons, Joseph and Vidal Caballero Jr. of South Bend, and her six adoring grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of kindness and compassion. Elvira was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Graciela Caballero, whose memory remained a guiding light in her life.
Elvira's unwavering commitment to her family was the cornerstone of her life. She embraced the role of being a mother with grace and strength, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own.
In keeping with family wishes, cremation will take place and no services are to be held. Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
