Elsie Rosa Obituary

Elsie M. (Pimentel) Rosa, age 84, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Roger Williams Hospital. She was the life partner of the late Richard Lioce with whom she shared 36 years of love, friendship and companionship prior to his passing. Born in Providence, she was the oldest of six children born to the late Manuel and Clara (Silva) Pimentel.
She had a larger-than-life personality and had a smile that could light up a room. She was most happy when surrounded by her family and friends and she loved nothing more than to have her family gathered together for the holidays. She was always drawn to the water, whether it be relaxing on the beach, saltwater fishing or spending the afternoon on the boat. Her strength and genuine love for others will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Elsie was the devoted mother of Janice Martin, Diane Rosa (husband, Charles Lamoureux) and the late Dona Flynn, Edward Rosa and Richard Rosa; cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Phyllis Rossi, Lorraine Jondro and the late Clara Esposito, Carol Cavalieri and Manuel Pimentel, Jr. She was predeceased by her great-granddaughter Alexis M. Silva.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 4 to 7pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Funeral Service to immediately follow at 7pm. Her interment will be private.
