Elaine Perkins Obituary
Elaine was a strong-willed and independent person who loved traveling, the arts, and her family.
Elaine was an extraordinary quilter and enjoyed sewing. She and her sister, Sherry, loved the hunt of finding the perfect fabric and working together on projects. She traveled the world throughout her life and passed on the passion for exploration and reaching beyond your comfort zone to her children and grandchildren. Elaine volunteered her time in retirement at the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati. Feeding her passion for the arts and Broadway, Elaine volunteered numerous productions as an usher. Dedicated, patient, and kind can best describe her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Donald Penley.
Elaine is survived by her children, Brian Perkins and Tiffany (Marty) Pendergrass, grandchildren, Lilly Perkins and Oliver Pendergrass, siblings, Sharon (Tony) Moore and Rodger (Alice) Penley, sister-in-law Glenda Penley, nephew and nieces Tony (Stacey) Moore, Kayla (Jamie) Moore and Trisha (Jody) Moore and other extended family.
Online condolences at www.strawserfuneralhome.com. A private graveside service was held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, Ohio. A celebration of life will be held September 18th.
