Edgar Tweet Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Funeral Home-Heritage Chapel at Angelus on Mar. 6, 2025.
Edgar Glenn Tweet, who was known and loved by all as Glenn, was born in Teller, Alaska in 1937. He passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025 with his loving wife, Sara, by his side. He was 88 years old, and died because his huge, wonderful heart that shared the good news of Jesus Christ with all of humanity, quietly wore out.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Legacy Heritage Chapel at Angelus - 440 E. Klatt Road, Anchorage, AK 99515. Viewing will be held at 10 AM with a service to follow at 11 AM. Refreshments will follow.
Officiating will be his longtime family Pastor and friend, Pastor Jim Strutz.
Glenn and his wife, Sara, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in November, 2024. They had six children, twenty-four grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Glenn and Sara dedicated their lives to serving the Lord, Jesus. Glenn served as a church Elder for many years at Anchorage Christian Center. He and Sara lead and served in the street ministry at the bus station in downtown Anchorage for 12 years, helping families most in need of God's love.
Glenn was a hard working member of the Local 302 Union of Operating Engineers. He and his team built many of the roads and bridges all across the State of Alaska. Upon retirement, he and his wife Sara dedicated their time to Christian ministry.
Glenn will always be remembered for his love of laughter, sharing jokes, and whipping everyone at the game of Aggravation, and his love for the Lord and his family.
Glenn is survived by his lovely wife of 65 years, Sara Tweet, daughter MaryEllen Fritz and her husband Roy; daughter Valerie Gremillion and her husband Norman; daughter Nicki Lowery and her husband Todd; daughter Glenda Wetch and her husband Bill, son Eddie, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Glenn was preceded in death by his daughter Shirley Moore, grandson Patrick Goldy, grandson Nathan Tweet, granddaughter Amber Tweet, great-grandson Caden Goldy, and great-granddaughter Angelina Snider.
