Doug was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Irene and sister Connie. He is survived by his wife Becky, daughter Elizabeth (son-in-law Rob), grandson Axel and many nieces and nephews.
Doug was born on April 9th, 1948 to his parents Stanley and Irene Jeza in the city of Detroit, MI. After Doug graduated from high school he was drafted into the US Army. Doug would later graduate from Wayne State University with his Bachelors degree. Doug was a member of the Lutheran Church, a Sunday school teacher and an Elder.
After graduating from Wayne State University Doug worked as a CPA for a couple companies before settling in with Audi/ Volkswagen as a CPA for the remainder of his professional -career.
As a matter of luck, Doug would meet the love of his life on a blind date. Doug and Becky married on 10/10/1981. Later they would complete their picture by welcoming the birth of their only child, Elizabeth on 08/05/1983.
After Doug retired from Volkswagen, he would have more time to focus on woodworking, photography and classic cars. Doug would take his eye and camera everywhere he went so that he wouldn't miss a photo opportunity. Doug enjoyed showing off his cars at local car shows where he would go on to receive several awards whether in his Mercedes Benz named "Elisabeth" painted in liquid metal or his latest toy, his red Mustang convertible.
Doug's thoughtfulness and willingness to put others before himself will be missed and admired for years to come. His impact left a mark on friends and family that will be remembered always. Heaven gained an angel on this day; I am sure your hand will be felt by loved ones forever. It is never good bye, it is only until we meet again
Visitation Friday, March 21, 2025 at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks east of Van Dyke), Utica from 9:30 am until memorial service at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cancer research or Multiple Sclerosis research in Doug's memory.

I was honored and privileged to serve as an Elder along with Doug. When he left Grace Lutheran in Redford to be with his family on the east side, we never removed his pocket patch with his name on it off of our rack on the wall. I proudly place mine next to his when I am done serving on any Sunday. A true friend and Gentleman. Rest In Peace Doug.
