Denis Clark, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, in
Grove, Oklahoma. Born on May 10, 1935, in
Shreveport, Louisiana, Denis lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to his work, passion for the outdoors, and a magnetic personality that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Denis graduated from Fairpark High School in Shreveport, where he first demonstrated his athletic talents. His love for football led him to McNeese State University, where he played for the college team before answering the call to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps. His time in the Marines instilled in him a deep sense of discipline and pride that remained with him throughout his life.
Following his military service, Denis embarked on a diverse and successful career. He worked as a salesman in the oil and gas industry-a field that suited his outgoing nature and strong communication skills. Never one to be confined by a single path, Denis also pursued entrepreneurial ventures including involvement with a hunting and fishing video company and various other side businesses. His professional life reflected both his industrious spirit and his love for the outdoors.
Denis was an avid outdoorsman whose passions included hunting and fishing-activities that brought him joy and connected him deeply with nature. He was equally at home in the kitchen or behind a grill, known for his cooking skills and love of entertaining guests. Whether hosting friends or tending to his meticulously manicured lawn and garden, Denis approached everything he did with enthusiasm and care.
