Delores Lois Hairston Emanuel was born November 1, 1935 to Parents Charles and Dorothy Murdock.
She departed this life March 10, 2025 as she was called home to be with the Lord.
Delores was also known as Dee by her sister and The Maw by her grandchildren. She lived a full life, graduating from East High School and later became a member of Christ of Apostolic Faith and filled with the Holy Ghost. She attended Sunday School, sang in the women's choir and the mass choir.
During her working years, she was employed by Ohio Health as a Surgical Technician for over 45 years.
She scrubbed in with many doctors and helped deliver babies for many years during her time in the operative field.
Delores loved her job and spending time with the newborn babies. Most of all she loves being a member of the church
and singing in the choir. She also loved going to the YMCA for water aerobics and exercise.
Delores was always bursting with energy and made you laugh all the time. She loved and cared for her grandbabies and great grandbabies, but most of all she loved The Lord. She also loved her dedicated family whom she went on many cruises and vacations. They never left her behind. Delores was always on the go, and
always the first one to pack her bags.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy (Charles) Murdock, sister Sylvia Adams, Charlene Tatum, Anita Dillngham, brother Charles Murdock, Jr., two great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sister Loreese Dunbar, daughters Pamela (Leonard) Miller, Karen (Maurice) Collins, sons Eric ( Faye) Hairston of Hampton Virginia, Garry Hairston of Louisville Kentucky, Gregory Hairston of Santa Monica California, nieces and nephews Michael (Christina) Tatum, Benny (Latonya)White, Gail (Danny) Graves many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, special friends Sister Sheila Seward, Drue Coleman, Verna Ramsaw, Edith Mackintosh, Theo Cole, Maxine Smith and a host of other friends and relatives.

Condolences to Delores´s family. I enjoyed working with her for several years at Grant. She was a great co- worker, friend, and as previously stated by others a person who lived in Christ! She will be missed by all who knew her.

To the Family of Delores Emmanuel (Aunt Dee):

While words can be comforting, it can be difficult to find the right ones during this time.

The Slaughters offer our deepest and most sincere condolences. We understand when someone so sweet and dear to you transitions it's never easy. We pray you find comfort in the beautiful memories you shared with Aunt Dee, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.

The Spirit of our most holy GOD be your peace, in the name of Yeshua Jesus. Amen.

Love with all our heart,
Carl & Stacy

I worked with Delores for many years at Grant Medical Center. She was an excellent colleague, always with a smile. You are in God´s light now.

As a friend of Aunt Dee´s niece, Gail, I learned what a great girl Aunt Dee was while here on earth. I send my sincere sympathy to the entire family. The loss is great, I know. The celebration in heaven is equally great. Blessings.
