William Daniel Brown passed into the presence of God March 9th 2024. He was born December 14, 1955 to William Rastus Brown and Rhetta May (Patsy) Brown in Kosciusko Mississippi. He was followed by brothers Thomas Michael and Timothy Wayne. In 1970 when Dan was 15, his father and brother Michael were tragically killed in an automobile accident. His mother then moved Dan and Tim to Brigham City Utah where her brother lived. They eventually moved to Ogden and East Layton before settling in South Ogden.
Dan graduated from Box Elder high school and Weber State University. He worked at Alpha Beta grocery store, Convergys and the US Forest Service at the Weber Basin Job Corp.
When Dan was 22, he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. He spent the rest of his life struggling with many health problems. He had several surgeries and was very sick but he never complained. He was generous to a fault and always had a kind word to everyone he met. Dan loved to fish and cook. Dan loved his springer spaniels Mandy and Emma. When he had to put Emma down recently, it took a lot of spark out of Dan. He was very lonely without her. Dan was a good friend to all and he will be sorely missed. Dan is survived by his brother Tim and his wife Judy, nephews Michael and David and nieces Misty, Kylie and Lacey and a grand nephew Logan.
Funeral Services will be held Friday March 22, 2024 at Provident Funeral home, 3800 Washington Blvd South Ogden Utah, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 PM.
