Dale Ramsey , passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, with her loving daughter holding her hand letting her know it was ok to seek Jesus' hand in salvation and see her son. She was 83.
Dale was a resident of Kenner since the mid 70"s. She provided a loving home of support and love for her children and beloved pets.
She is predeceased by her treasured son Ken Ramsey and her mother Gunda Wagner and father Robert Wagner. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Celeste Saltalamachia (Bruce), of Hahnville , LA, her treasured grandson Jordan Ramsey and Daughter in Law, Marsha Ramsey (
Baton Rouge, LA) and an abundance of friends and family in Norway.
Her battle with cancer was a long fought one. She valiantly fought her first battle with cancer 7 years ago. She was cancer free for several years until the cancer returned with a vengeance in October, 2023. Her persistence to continue the fight against cancer was a brave and impressive one always committed to her. chemotherapy and tests. Her oncologist team at Oschner gave her strength and hope.
She grew up in the Orphanage on Magazine Street while her mother worked. At 16, she left the orphanage. She graduated from Fortier High School and eventually married her deceased husband that unfortunately left her to raise her two children on her own.
She had an abundance of friends in the area including her honorary step daughters Darlene, Melissa and Amy. She valued her many friendships with many flower clubs, her supportive neighbors and her friends Mary R, Roger, Helen and Mike. She was blessed to form her final friendship with Mary M who provided valued support for her while she remained home during her final struggle with cancer. She gratefully accepted her friends at her church, Amazing Love, and unconditionally seeked the Lord for her salvation.
Dale worked for Siemens/Westinghouse for 38 plus years, finally as the Engineering Manager until she retired. She worked in a male dominated field and she was committed to success to support her children. She created, and maintained, many valued friendships via work with Siemens/Westinghouse and Shell Oil.
She had an unmatched love for plants and flowers. She constantly worked in her gardens until she couldn't do it anymore. She dearly loved her fur babies Herbie, Kristi, Elsa, Haley, Maggie, Meeshu and Beignet.
She also leaves to treasure her memories her family in Norway who she treasured deeply and was so fond of her heritage.
In lieu of flowers, please get yourself checked for cancer, mom would have wanted everyone to be spared all the struggles with cancer. Please do that in her honor.
