Craig J. Costello, 51, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, NY, the son of Constance A. (Geer) Costello and the late Michael E. Costello. Craig grew up in Liverpool, graduating from Liverpool High School, Class of 1991. He continued his studies at SUNY Fredonia, obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Craig had a love for music and was an integral part of the local music scene. Craig was not done yet writing and creating music, his imagination knew no bounds. He would always encourage anyone to nurture and share their creativity. The family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of the music community sharing photos, videos and recordings, helping keep his memory alive. Currently Craig was working at The Redhouse Arts Center as the Assistant Technical Director and Facilities Manager. His most important role though was being a father to his daughter, Chloe. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his daughter's mother, Heather Costello Bartman.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Chloe Layne Costello of Baldwinsville, NY, his mother, Connie A. Costello, sister, Kristie J. Costello and his brother, Andrew C. Costello all of Liverpool, NY, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY, with funeral services to follow at 7:00 pm.
The family would like give their heartfelt thanks to The Redhouse staff and EMT's for their quick action and efforts to save him. It was a comfort to know Craig was not alone and his work family was with him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Craig's memory can be made to The Redhouse Arts Center @ theredhouse.org.
Please sign the Maurer Funeral Home on-line guestbook for Craig to express your condolences to his family.
