Clinton Owen Searle, 83, of West Jordan, Utah passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
He was born on February 7, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Owen and Erna Searle. He grew up in Salt Lake City, and for a few years in Centerfield. He was raised with his siblings Ernalee, Kenneth, Paul, and Ella-Rene. They lived in a house that his family made from a train boxcar and later moved to a basement home they built as the family grew. He loved and raised animals as a boy, including a calf that played fetch. He served a religious mission in the Southern States 1961-63. Clint met the love of his life, Delores Hansen, while attending college in Cedar City and they were married on August 27, 1965, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had to wait many years to welcome their children and have been waiting on them ever since. They built their home in West Jordan and found innumerable friends in the neighborhood. Throughout his life he enjoyed his work as an engineer, serving in callings at church, and working at Tiny Tim's Toy Factory. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with and serving alongside family, extended family, and friends. When Clint and Dee retired, they served a humanitarian mission together in Belarus where they met many wonderful people and almost learned Russian.
He was a man of service, compassion, and a big tease. He told great stories and most of them are probably true. He was an excellent example of what made a real man, and how to treat those he loved, especially his wife and children.
He is survived by Delores, his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, his four sons, and their wonderful spouses: James (April), John (Ben), Jeff (Janell), Justin (Michelle). He was a proud grandfather to his 15 grandchildren.
