A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday March 19, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur, LA for Mr. Clifford Broussard, who died on Sunday March 16, 2025, in his home in Lake Arthur, LA.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be observed at the Matthews Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, LA on Tuesday March 18, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday March 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Visiting hours resume on Wednesday March 19, 2025, from 8:00 AM until the time of his service.
Reverend Jay Alexius will be officiating the services.
Burial will follow in the St. Anthony cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA.
Clifford was born on June 29, 1941, to Cleveland Broussard and Dorothy Guidry in Lake Arthur, LA. Clifford lived many years as a farmer and cattle rancher. He was also known for his time spent as a Sherriff Officer for Cameron Parish. He loved to hunt and be outdoors, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with those he loved most. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Clifford is survived by his son, Tommy Broussard (Melanie); daughter, Donna Woods (Chad); one brother, Bernie Brossard; One sister, Chip Breaux; his six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Broussard and Dorothy Guidry; his wife, Carrie Moore Broussard; one son, Charlie Broussard; two sisters, Sylvia Adickes and Vickie Dugas; one brother, Ronald Broussard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home Lake Arthur, 317 KELLOGG ST. LAKE ARTHUR, LA 70549
