Charlotte Beard VanOver Obituary
Born August 26, 1928, in Carlos, Indiana, to Harry M. and Myra G. Hunnicutt Beard, Charlotte was a life-long resident of this area. She graduated from Huntsville High School in 1950. Charlotte retired from Belden after 33 years, this made her a member of the Belden 25 year club. She made the best chicken and dumplings.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathie A. (James) DeCamp of Dunnellon, Florida; granddaughter, Pammy (Tommy) Mays of Crystal River, Florida; grandson, James A. (Carloyn) DeCamp of Richmond; great-grandchildren, Aaron Wells and Joel, Josh, and Mariah Branum; great-great-grandson, A.J. Wells III; sister, Esther Ankrom of Williamsburg, Indiana; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy R. Clark; great-granddaughters, Arlena DeCamp and Brittney and Angela Ferrell; parents; brothers, Raymond, Harry, Walter, James, John, and Chester Beard; and sisters, Bessie Shook and Frances Wise.
Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN, 46240.
