Carol Ann Starnes, 78 of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2024. She was born on September 20, 1946 in Albany, California to Thoburn and Irene (Bagley) Giem.
Carol is preceded in death by her son Christopher Berglund, brother Richard Giem and parents Thoburn and Irene.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Berglund; daughter, Nichole Clark (Jeremy); grandchildren, Anniston Clark, Carolina Clark, Blake Berglund, Jaime Berglund and Ryder Berglund; and a host of family and friends.
Carol loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful member of Bono Baptist Church. Her unwavering faith was evident throughout her life, especially in her courageous battles against cancer. Not once, but three times, she steadfastly refused to succumb or complain, and embodied a strength that inspired all who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of gardening and the company of her Boston Terrier, Coney. Yet, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she adored beyond measure. She truly was her family's biggest fan and cheerleader. She was notorious for her sweet tooth and her sillyness. You never knew what she might say! Carol truly brought laughter and light wherever she went.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10 at Springhill Cemetery with Pastor Will Russell officiating. Reception to follow at 79 Pinnacle Springs Road in Greenbrier.
