Carol Faucett Obituary

Mrs. Carol Elaine McBride Faucett, age 87, of 1995 Jonesville Lockhart Hwy., Union, widow of James Samuel Faucett, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Faucett was born April 13, 1938, in Union County, a daughter of the late Ernest Eugene McBride and Lillie Rochester McBride. She was a 1955 graduate of Jonesville High School and was crowned the 1955 Homecoming Queen. Mrs. Faucett attended Fosters Chapel Methodist Church, where she taught the Children’s Sunday School class. She was a dedicated loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Wyatt of Spartanburg and Joye Dillard and husband Hugh of Fountain Inn; two sons, Norman Eugene Faucette and wife Janis Penelope of Houston, TX and David Glenn Faucett of Union; two sisters, Muriel McBride Freeman of Jonesville and Emily McBride Eaves of Jonesville; seven grandchildren, Nathaniel Faucette, Patrick Faucette, Sam Faucette, Tyler Wyatt, Lauren Wyatt, Mason Dillard and wife Lauren, and Grant Dillard and wife Alex; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters, Ernestine Vaughan, Geraldine Ivey, and Helen Fowler; two granddaughters, Carrie Elise Faucett and Farrah Marie Wyatt and a son-in-law, Rick Wyatt.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Fosters Chapel Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Lee Coyle. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Faucett’s grandsons.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 until 3:30 PM prior to the services at the Church.
