Betty Fontenot Obituary

Betty Lou Savant Fontenot passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the age of 94. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Eunice with Pastor Tom McManus officiating.

There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Betty is survived by one son, Kerry Fontenot (Fran); two daughters, Sussie Rozas (Blaine) and Linda Wheeler; her daughter-in-law, Sandra Fontenot; two sisters, Diane Marcantel (Hartwell), Loise Funderberg; nine grandchildren, Danielle Turner (Stuart), Aungelle Vidrine (Trent), Krystin Beach, Lori Fontenot, Rusty Fontenot, Steven Fontenot, Kyle Hintze (Katie), Beth Ryan (Jason), Erica Trahan (Damon) and nineteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lessie Lee Fontenot; two sons, Sonny Fontenot, Russell Glen Fontenot; her parents, Duke and Blanche Gordon Savant; her brother, Eldridge Savant; two sisters, Irma LaFleur, Kathleen Palir; her daughter-in-law, Carol Fontenot; two grandchildren, Blake Fontenot and Brandon Kilburn.
