Barbara Salerno Obituary
Barbara was born in Staten Island, NY a daughter to the late Helen (Lisiewski) and Maurice Burns on September 28, 1940. She was a lifelong resident of Staten Island, NY. She focused her life caring for her family, enjoying her vacations to New Hampshire where she would go swimming, fishing, cooking and of course shopping. Barbara loved her cats, and relaxed watching crime television shows.
She was pre deceased by her Son Tony Salerno, Jr. in 1976, and her two brothers Paul and Fred Burns.
Barbara is survived by her son Christopher J. Salerno and his wife Tara, and her adoring granddaughter Gianna Salerno.
Visitation for Barbara will be Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ. A Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. interment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10306. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Care Centers of NYC-Staten Island at https://www.nycacc.org/
