Anna Marie (Catanzarite) Long passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at home, in Mishawaka, IN, with her loving family by her side, at the age of 84. Born on August 28, 1940, in Indianapolis, IN, Anna Marie was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.
Graduating from Mishawaka High School in 1959, Anna Marie carried the spirit of her beloved hometown throughout her life. She made a lasting impact on her community by opening her heart and home to children through her in-home daycare, nurturing countless young lives with patience and care.
Anna Marie's devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her existence. Married to her loving husband, John Long, on October 9, 1962, at St. Monica Catholic Church in Mishawaka, IN, they built a life filled with joy and companionship. Her father Frank Catanzarite, mother Catherine (Trimboli) Catanzarite, and sister Betty Catanzarite, all preceded her in death. Her legacy continues through her beloved husband, John; sons, Paul (Deanna) Long, Mark (Rita) Long, Carl (Barb) Long; her treasured eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Anthony (Ann) Catanzarite, Joe Catanzarite, Frank (Diane) Catanzarite, Roy Catanzarite.
An industrious woman, Anna Marie thrived on hard work. Her interests were simple but profound: she cherished the time spent babysitting and found her greatest pleasure in the moments shared with her family.
At this time per the family's wishes, there will be no services. Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel will be assisting the family with final arrangements.
Condolences may be left to the family online at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com

Sending love and condolences to the family especially John. Anna Marie was always a joy to have in Silver Sneakers class and I loved her spunk and zest for life. She will be missed greatly.

She will be missed! Memories from so long ago family gatherings and great visits, always so full of love and laughter. Her smile was just so warm and made you feel so special. When she asked how are you, she really wanted to know. We are thinking of her boys and sending our love Nancy and Steve

To the family of Anna Maria Long I want to send my condolences. Anna Maria was a fun and great woman. I will always remember the way her and John would play cards with my mom and Dad and good friends us kids would all hang out. Then she worked for McDonald´s for a little while and I enjoyed talking to her. I know her last few years were difficult but she is at peace now. John you took such good care of her. She will be missed by many people. Love to your whole family. Laurie and Tom Stanton
