Alma Elizabeth Rigler passed away on February 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She was born in Landenberg, Pennsylvania in 1927, where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of Jesse and Alma Whalen Hendrickson.
She graduated from Kennett High School in the Class of 1944. Alma worked for Cooperative Service Co., Hercules Powder Co., and the American Mushroom Institute in Kennett Square as the Assistant Executive Director until her retirement in 1992 after thirty-seven years.
She loved being with her family and friends.
Alma was married to her beloved husband and best friend, Earl K. Rigler, Sr., for sixty-seven years. She is survived by her son, Earl K. Rigler, Jr. and his wife, Linda; eight grandchildren, Jess, Alicia, Monica, Melissa, Todd, William, Gina, and Tyler; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael; one brother; two sisters; and a great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at Landenberg United Methodist Church, 205 Penn Green Road, Landenberg, PA 19350 on June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately. Contributions may be made to the Landenberg United Methodist Church P.O.
