Alfreda "Bunny" Delois Watson, 72 of Appomattox, VA, entered eternal rest at her residence on Monday, September 16, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Craig T. Watson and Louise P. Watson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, John E. Watson, and her one sister, Frances W. Lawing.
Alfreda was a proud alumnus of the Carver-Price High School class of 1969. She was employed at Amelia Dress Company for many years. After working there, she worked for Ericcson, making cell phones and welding. Following her employment there she was a devoted caregiver to her brother, Johnny, and her sister, Frances.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted daughter, Tonia A. Watson, Appomattox, VA; one granddaughter, Symone L. Watson of Appomattox, VA; two brothers, Steve R. Watson of Richmond, VA and Carl A. Watson of Appomattox, VA; two nieces, DeAndrea Williams of Richmond, VA and Selena Robinson (Danny) of Appomattox, VA; three nephews, Brian R. Watson of Richmond, VA, Steven C. Watson and Jonathan T. Watson both of Appomattox, VA; six great nieces, Prestyn Williams of Richmond, VA, Mia Watson of Appomattox, VA; Tanika Anderson of Greensboro, NC, Danielle Trent, Maria Anderson, Tiffany Anderson, all of Appomattox, VA; four great-nephews, Mason Watson, John Anderson, Duwayne Anderson and Jakeem Haskins all of Appomattox, VA; one brother-in-law, Timotheus Lawing of Lynchburg, VA; a devoted caregiver-daughter, Aretha Mitchell of Pamplin, VA and a host of other great-great nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at noon at First Baptist Church, 747 Court Street, Appomattox, VA 24522.
