Tillie Villa Obituary
May 22, 1925 - December 14, 2025
Westley, California - Tillie M. Villa (Nana) was born May 22, 1925, in Madera, California. Her parents were Agapito Moreno and Felipa Avila. Her siblings were Esther Moreno, Virginia Aguillera, Elvira Maruffo, Ana Marie Moreno, Felipa Serrano, Manuel Moreno, Paul Moreno, Daniel Moreno, Ruben Moreno, and Johnny Moreno.
Nana lived in Westley, California, from 1962 until 2017, when she moved into an assisted living facility in Turlock, California. Nana was then moved to English Oaks Assisted Living in 2024, where she resided until her peaceful passing.
On December 8, 1957, Nana married the love of her life, David Villa-our Tata. For 54 years, they shared a strong and beautiful partnership built on faith, devotion, and hard work. Together, they created a home filled with love and blessings from the work of their hands. Tata tended the garden, growing fruits and vegetables, and Nana turned those gifts into delicious meals, desserts, and canned goods that nourished not only their family but anyone who walked through their door.
Professionally, Nana served as a dedicated and compassionate nurse at Del Puerto Hospital in Patterson, California, from 1964 to 1991, continuing part-time until 1997. She was deeply proud of her work and cared for her patients with genuine love and dignity. Many of those she cared for remembered her long after their hospital stays and stayed in contact with her through the years-a true testament to the impact she made.
God called our dearest Nana home on Sunday, December 14, 2025, leaving three children: Mary Lou Meza, Mariano Torres, and Frank Torres. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren: Henry Meza Jr, Sammy Meza, Melinda Meza, Patty Meintasis, Debbie Molina, Gabriel Torres, Christina Torres, Ruthie Desroches, Melissa Starkey, Mary Lou Torres, Elizabeth Lopez, Frank Torres, and 32 great-grandchildren, 29 great, great-grandchildren, and 3 great, great, great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Modesto Jubilee, 821 Lassen Ave. Modesto, CA 95358 from 9 am to 10 am on Friday, January 16, 2025, followed by a Memorial Service from 10 am to 12 pm. A Gravesite will follow at Lakewood 900 Santa Fe, Hughson, CA 95326 from 1 pm-2 pm.

Sister was a wonderful Godly woman, her husband love to share the history of the church, with pictures, and he had some audio tapes from leaders of the church when they would visit.
