Yvonne Cherie Graham, 70 of Mobile Alabama, passed away from heart failure November 29, 2023. She is now present with the Lord. She was born May 22, 1953, in Astoria Oregon to George and Donna Takko. She was a 1971 graduate of Astoria High School and attended Lindel College. She married John M. Graham in 1983 and became a military wife. A role she excelled at for 27 years and 10 moves to port cities in Virginia, New Jersey, Guam, Alaska, Washington, California, and finally Mobile Alabama. Throughout her 40-year marriage, she was a loving, dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother to not only her children but any child that entered her home. Together with her husband, she walked beaches from Hawaii to Florida, Oregon to Guam. She hiked glaciers in Alaska, boonie stomped the jungle in Guam, toured WWII battlefields on Saipan and Civil War battlefields in Virginia and Tennessee. And even though she had done and seen so much, she was fond of saying, "you can't do everything!" She was passionately dedicated to God, country and her family. She lived her life to be a witness for her Lord Jesus Christ. She was known for her love and her laughter. She was an avid Crimson Tide fan but became a fan of LSU marching band after her granddaughter Hannah joined the band. She thoroughly enjoyed Mardi Gras, but absolutely loved Christmas. She waited all year for the Christmas season to begin. She loved animals especially Pinto the terrier, Chloe the Chihuahua, and her cats. She is survived by her husband John M. Graham, children, David Harrison and wife Renee' of Washington, Jessica Zado and husband Paul of Louisiana, Amanda Yarbrough and husband Blaine of Alabama, and Benjamin Graham of Alabama. Her grandchildren, Pamela Hammond and husband Chris, Elias Harrison, Hannah Zado, Jack Zado, and Amelia Yarbrough. Her brothers Arnold Takko and wife Brenda, Ted Takko and wife Annette, David Takko and sister Yvette Niemi and husband Rob.
She touched the lives of many of her children's friends as well as many Coast Guard members and their families. Her home was always welcoming and full of laughter. Her laughter now rings in Heaven.
