William David Martin

William David Martin, 93, of Stoneville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Christian View Cemetery, 543 Anglin Mill Rd, Stoneville, NC 27048.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the home of Jerry and Sandy Martin, 170 Fulp Sawmill Rd, Stoneville, NC 27048.

David was born January 30, 1933, in Rockingham County, N.C., to the late Dewey Martin and Margaret Lawrence Martin. David loved the Lord, and it showed in every part of his life. He especially loved going to church and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his children, Patricia Shields (Stuart), Stephen Martin (Cindy), Jerry Martin (Sandy), Jason Martin, Vickie Layne (Keith); grandchildren, Katie Louhoff (Adam), Kelly Gatewood (Kory), Dylan Martin (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Brylan and Annleigh Louhoff, Addison and Brooklyn Gatewood; sisters, Jeanette Tapper (David) and Nancy Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brothers, Dewey Martin, Jr., Carroll Martin, George Martin; and sister, Joan Richards.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in his name to Christian View Pentecostal Holiness Church, 425 Anglin Mill Rd, Stoneville, NC 27048.
