Paul Aue Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Edward "Ed" Aue, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, who departed this life on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, at the age of 82. Ed was a cherished resident of Hesperia, Michigan, and was born in Muskegon, Michigan, on Friday, January 23rd, 1942, to the late Paul Gehart Aue and Sylvia Lucille (Beecham) Aue. on February 6th, 1964 he married the love of his life, Elvira Anita Aue and together, they had four children.
Ed proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, an experience that shaped the man he would become. After his military service, Ed dedicated his professional life to working as an auto mechanic, where he was known for his expertise and commitment to helping others. Ed had a deep passion for farming and his tractors, spending many joyful hours tinkering in the garage. He especially loved sharing treats and laughter with his great-grandchildren over cones of ice cream. His warm presence will be missed by his fellow members of the American Legion Post 397 in Holton, where he was an active member.
Ed is survived by his devoted wife, Elvira Anita Aue, who stood by his side through all of life's turns. He leaves behind his children, Arthur Michael Aue, Patricia Marie (David) (Aue) Huerta, Diana Mae Aue, and Loraine Marie (Aue) Rodriguez, who will forever cherish his memory. Ed was a proud grandfather to Cody Michael (Alanna) Rodriguez and Cheyenne Edward (Alexandria) Rodriguez, and a loving great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. He will be dearly missed by his siblings, James Walter (Delores) Aue, Jerry Lee (Judy) Aue, Dale Allen (Pris) Aue, Sue Ann (Mike) Kniaz, and Kimba Kay Root, along with his many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Gehart Aue, Sylvia Lucille Aue, his brother John Howard Aue, his sister Sally Lou Roberson, and daughter in law Marian (Bunnie) Aue.
A funeral service to celebrate Paul's life will take place in the spring of 2025. The arrangements are being handled by Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont, Michigan.
