Howard Thomas Hoovler, 86, of Shenango Township, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 4, 2025, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell.
Mr. Hoovler was born March 31, 1938, in Fredonia, a son of the late William J. and Pauline (Howard) Hoovler.
He married the love of his life, Agnes Audrene Splitstone, on October 5, 1957. They shared 62 years of marriage before her passing on December 22, 2019.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he belonged to the Hidden Valley Sportsman Club, formerly the Farrell Sportsman Club, for 52 years. As a member, Howard served as a trustee for 15 years and ran their archery shoots for 10 years.
He was a passionate Pittsburgh Pirates fan and looked forward to attending games at the ballpark with his daughter, Kathie. Every September he would say, "We'll get 'em next year."
Howard cherished Christmas and its traditions of spending time with family while baking cookies and playing Monopoly.
Surviving are his daughter, Kathleen (Jeff) Davis, of West Middlesex; a son, Thomas Hoovler, of Amherst, NY; two sisters, Doris Jean (William) Waldorf, of Meadville, PA, and Patricia (Ray) Newton, of San Diego, CA.
