Winston Anderson Obituary
In 1965, Pete married Sherry Heck Nelson. To this union, two daughters were born, Melissa K. Carpenter of Gypsum, Colorado and Lisa M. Talley, who works in Panama City, Panama. In 1979, he married Cindy Anderson and had a son, Winston L. Anderson III (Petey), who currently works and resides in the Mentawai? ?Islands,? ?Indonesia. Dr. Anderson was also married to Theresa Ipsen Anderson. These marriages ended in divorce.
Pete was a stand out athlete in high school and college. He played football for Maur Hill and Notre Dame and rugby for Kansas University. He was also a competitive diver and swimmer and a life-long runner. He had a passion for exotic automobiles which he proudly collected.
Winston is survived by his three children, Lisa (Doug Bristol), Melissa (Tim) , Petey (Inne) and two sisters, Geraldine Blair, Lawrence, Kansas and Elizabeth Johnson, Atchison, Kansas and a brother, Charles in Anchorage, Alaska. He was also known as "Papa Pete" to his four beloved grandchildren, Brandi Talley, Haley Carpenter, Kassandra Carpenter and Jute Anderson. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews and a companion, Chris Lua. He was proceeded in death by both parents and a sister, Joan Falk, Atchison, Kansas.
Dr. Anderson has donated his body to medical science. A Celebration of His Life will be held in December in San Luis Obispo, Ca.

I worked with Dr Anderson at &Sierra Vista in SLO, CA. Great guy and dry sense of humor. He was my surgeon once and I was lucky to have him.

I had the pleasure of working with Pete for 35 years. He was always available for his patients and helped me out on many occasions to take care of even those who could not afford care. He will be missed.

I worked with Pete in the 90's. He was one of the best technical surgeons I had the privilege to work with, and he was totally committed to his patients. But it was his sense of humor and singular laugh that I will miss the most, and will always remember him by.

During my 40+ years of internal medicine practice in slo I used Dr. Anderson as my primary surgeon. I had no hesitation in calling him day or night for my patients. He loved his profession.I am not surprised that he donated his body to medical science. Dr.Collie
