I send my sympathies to the family. I've got a memory I'd like to share. 40+ years ago as a little girl, I was at the house playing with the children. We were running around inside. I ran out the front screen door and put my hand through it breaking glass and cutting my wrist. Mr. Vandyke took me to the restroom to wash me up and bandage me. I was scared but he assured me I was going to be ok. I have the scar to remind me. He was a hero to me after that. About five years ago I saw Mr. and Mrs. Vandyke at a store I worked at and we spoke of the incident. He remembered clearly and said he never had glass in the door again. I see Mrs. Vandyke all the time where I work now. Again, my condolence to you all.

With deepest sympathy to the family during your time of sorrow. Psalms 46:1 says: God is for us a refuge and strength during this difficult time and may God grant you the comfort to endure.
