DUKE, William Ernest, 92,a resident of Crestview,Florida, died Monday,February 28, 2011 at theParthenon Healthcare Facility of Crestview, Florida.He served in both the Armyand Air Force. He was aveteran of the Normandyinvasion at Utah Beach. Mr.Duke is survived by his son,William James Duke andhis wife Rosanna of Prattville, Alabama, two daughters, Christine Shifflett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,and Mary Ann Scott andher husband Michael ofCrestview, Florida. He isalso survived by fourgranddaughters and twograndsons. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributionsmay be made to theMcGehee Road BaptistChurch of Montgomery. Funeral services will be heldon Sunday, March 6, 2011at 3 p.m. at Leak-MemoryChapel, with visitation onehour prior to the service.Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with military honors.
